The gene which causes the pure white coat color,
and blue eyes, is called the Vienna gene.
The Vienna gene, which makes BEW, is not in the 5 major color genes,
and works differently than all other genes.
If you bred a BEW, to any other color, including red-eyed white,
will produce colored rabbits to the first generation. These will almost always have some white on them Sometimes in a blaze or with a spot on the forehead or nose.
Some have one or two white feet as in our Diva.

We are trying to breed this color as we find it hard to find in Ma

We have decided to start breeding BEW Lionheads as we love this breed and mostly the color as you can tell with the BEW Holland Lops, Mini Lops and Polish Dwarf.
At the moment Our goal is to breed to try to make the BEW Lionhead and then to try to master the breed.
